Centre Of Online Learning And E Resources

School of Management Sciences (SMS), Varanasi took the first initiative towards online learning in September 2013 and become Resource Centre for Spoken Tutorial Project Conducted by IIT Bombay under National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology, MHRD, Government of India. In order to increasing employability with industry focused courses, Institute has also taken an initiative to connect their students & faculty members with NPTEL, and established NPTEL-Local chapter in October 2016. SMS Varanasi has subscription of digital libraries like NDL and DELNET and also become part of AKTU consortium by subscribing E-Resources provided through mobile app MyLOFT (My Library on Finger Tips). In order to enhance effectiveness of above activities institute has established “Centre of Online Learning and E-Resources” with the objectives given below:

Objectives of The Center

To provide an environment for ‘Online Learning’ to the faculty & students through various E-resources / Portals of Swayam and MOOC.
To provide relevant information and support in above contexts.
To maintain and manage various E-resources used for both online & offline learning and research.
To ensure best contribution of the Centre towards Accreditation purposes
To ensure the enrolment of each and every student for one course each semester in coordination with various Course Coordinators.
